Emilie, also known as Green Girl and founder of Kanye’s Posts, is celebrating the first anniversary of her page, and VooVix TV caught up with her for an interview. Despite it being early in the morning in the UK and late evening for Emilie, she is in high spirits and excited to celebrate the anniversary. The idea for Kanye’s Posts came to Emilie a year ago while she was scrolling through her phone and trying to capture all of Kanye West’s posts and memes about Pete Davidson, which he was deleting almost instantly.
Emilie and her friends decided to create an archive of Kanye’s posts, but she was the only one who kept up with the daunting task of archiving his posts. Emilie is a die-hard fan of the artist formerly known as Kanye West now Ye, and her love for him began when she saw him perform “Blood on the Leaves” several times at a music festival. She admired Kanye’s perfectionism and the vulnerability he showed by replaying and repeating the song until it met his standards. Emilie also loves how authentic Ye is and how he is willing to share his unfiltered thoughts with the world, unlike most celebrities who have a whole PR team that controls their image. Emilie is a true historian of Kanye West, and her page goes deep into his past and present. She is not just a fan, but she has a deep understanding of Ye’s life and his journey to fame. Emilie also shared her thoughts on Ye’s marriage to Kim Kardashian, saying that she believed it was true love at the beginning and that they genuinely vibed with each other. Overall, Emilie is a dedicated fan and a passionate founder who has created an archive of Kanye’s life that fans can enjoy for years to come.
Ye, the multi-talented rapper, songwriter, and fashion designer, has had quite a journey in the past few years. In November 2016, West was hospitalized for exhaustion and mental health issues, and then in 2018, he sparked controversy with a series of controversial statements and political affiliations. More recently, West made headlines when he went missing and returned married to Bianca Censori.
Despite these ups and downs, things have been looking up for Ye lately, as reports have emerged that he and Adidas have reached a new agreement to sell the remaining $500 million in Yeezy sneaker inventory. This comes after the sporting giant terminated its partnership with West in October of last year, following a series of anti-Semitic comments made by the rapper.
The termination of the partnership led to Ye losing his deals with Gap as well, causing many to wonder about the future of his brand. However, the remodeled contract with Adidas reportedly focuses solely on the sale of the existing inventory of West’s famous shoe line and will not include his clothing line or new designs which provides an exciting opportunity for him to diversify his portfolio.
The Yeezy sneaker line has been wildly successful since its launch in 2015, with fans eagerly anticipating each new release. With the new agreement between West and Adidas, fans can expect to see more Yeezy sneakers on the market, even as West’s fashion brand continues to evolve.
It’s been an eventful few years for West, but with the renewed partnership with Adidas, it seems like he’s poised for a successful comeback. The rapper and designer has always been known for his unique approach to music and fashion, and it’s clear that his fans are eager to see what he has in store next. Whether he continues to focus on sneakers or expands his brand to include new designs, one thing is certain: Ye will continue to push the boundaries and challenge expectations in all that he does.
