It's interesting how perceptions have changed, but I wonder how much of this is marketing hype. Do people really buy glasses for confidence, or is it largely about needing to see? It feels like a mix of both.
I recently switched to glasses after years of contacts, and I’ve found that they’ve become a part of my identity. It’s refreshing to hear someone like Emma Willis talk about confidence in relation to eyewear.
While I appreciate the message, I still feel that fashion shouldn’t overshadow practicality. Not everyone feels comfortable in glasses, and pushing that narrative might alienate those who prefer contacts.
I can totally relate to this! Glasses used to feel like a burden, but now they’re such a statement piece. I'm glad to see more people embracing their specs instead of hiding them.
